Evidently not every burrito is my lucky burrito

Lingua ninja, not so much. It's only day two and I've broken my pledge to keep my Spanish skills on the down low. I don't know why I wanted to, but I really did. But I've been using it everywhere and today I was geeking out on word origins when another member of the group asked, "Are you a Spanish teacher?" Whoops.

Perhaps part of the reason I wanted it quiet was so that people wouldn't think that *I* think my Spanish is good. We have a tour guide assigned to travel with us throughout the week; occasionally she has to translate when the local museum guides speak only Spanish and Basque. Sometimes I try to translate in my head before she gets to it. Results are mixed.

"That's where he had a burrito," is what I hear the docent say in Spanish.
"This is where he kept his donkey," says our guide.
